I love the beach. There is a feeling of being cleansed by the sea, the ocean smells, the sound of waves hitting the beach and seagull cries. I love the feeling of cool water washing over my feet and sand between my toes. The feel of the ocean breeze in my hair and sunlight on my skin.
Beachartz is my way of keeping the beach in my life all of the time, no matter where I am or what I am doing. I can look at a painting, send a card to a friend or hold the shell on my necklace.
As a working artist, I never run out of ideas. Getting my work out to be seen is another story... until I found Etsy. Actually, some of my friends and customers found Etsy first, then told me I should be here. From the first time I hit the Etsy home page, I knew this should be my home too. I opened my shop on June 13th, 2013 and I have been here every single day since then. So whether I'm in the Florida Keys or the mountains of North Georgia, I'm in my Etsy shop.
My studio is my former formal living room, with huge picture windows that let in amazing light. Here I have space for my bead storage, a work table for my jewelry, my laptop, printer, shipping supplies. I have a large drawing table for my paintings in progress. I like to paint standing, so I'm constantly moving around. I just installed a big screen TV next to my old school ghetto blaster. So with Bob Marley, Jimmy Buffet, or maybe even Pitbull on the box, come check it out.
Remember, always Keep the Beach in Your Life!
